A young man died after being shot in the parking lot of a shopping center in El Cerrito Sunday, according to the police department. Police said they received a call of a shooting in the parking lot of the Del Norte Plaza Shopping center, located at 11299 San Pablo Avenue, at around 12:17 p.m. The re, authorities said they found a young man who had been shot in the parking lot near Los Moles Restaurant. The man died at the scene, according to police. Officials said witnesses reported the suspects were in an altercation with the victim at his car and shot him. After the shooting, police said the suspects drove away southbound on S. 56th Street in a dark colored sedan. According to police, the witnesses said one of the suspects was wearing a black mask and a black North Face brand puffy jacket.
