LOWELL, Ind. (WRTV) A domestic dispute turned deadly Saturday evening when a man killed his girlfriend and wounded her daughter before taking his own life at an antique shop near Lowell, police said.Lake County sheriffs deputi
es and Indiana State Police responded to Karmic Sunshine shortly after 7 p.m., located at 2996 W. 181st Ave.Investigators said an argument between a 62-year-old man and his 56-year-old girlfriend turned physical. The man shot and killed the woman inside the shop, then shot her 24-year-old daughter in the arm as she tried to escape.Police say he then died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.The 24-year-old woman is in stable condition at a Chicago hospital. Her husband and young child were also at the shop during the shooting but were not hurt, according to the sheriffs department.Detectives said the suspect and the store owner lived in a trailer behind the business. The Lake County Coroners Office is working to notify the suspects family before releasing the names of those involved.The sheriffs department said there is no remaining danger to the public.My thoughts and prayers are with all of the families affected by this tragic shooting, the department said in a statement.
