FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Running back Ja’Quinden Jackson is returning to Philadelphia with the team after a scary moment in Saturday night’s preseason game at Gillette Stadium, the Eagles said. Jackson, 24, was taken off the field in an ambulance after suffering an injury on the opening kickoff. The Eagles previously announced that Jackson had strength and movement in all his extremities and was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. Jackson made a tackle on the opening kick return but hurt himself in the process. Both teams’ medical staffs gave Jackson immediate attention as the ambulance drove onto the field. The Eagles signed Jackson (6-2, 233) back on Aug. 10. He was with the Jaguars last season on their practice squad after going undrafted out of Arkansas. Jackson was waived by Jacksonville in May. Jackson began his college career at Texas but did not play before transferring to Utah. In three years at Utah, Jackson rushed for 1,358 yards with 14 touchdowns. In his one year at Arkansas in 2024, Jackson had 790 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also caught 13 passes for 139 yards. This story originally appeared on NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com.
