A restaurant in South Philadelphia was severely damaged after a car slammed into its front early Saturday morning. Surveillance video shows a white SUV slam into La Catachrita at around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22. Philadelphia police have confirmed that a hit-and-run occurred at the location. No injuries were reported inside the restaurant, and it is unclear if anyone inside the car was injured. The owner of the restaurant confirmed to NBC10 that it is open Saturday with a temporary front to the store.
