INDIANAPOLIS (WRTV) -- Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department on Friday released body-camera footage on YouTube of a 2024 police shooting involving a man who held a woman hostage.A 65-year-old Indianapolis man, Grant Brown, in July was sentenced to 38 years in a state prison after pleading guilty to attempted murder in connection with the case.The shooting happened about 11:30 a.m. Sept. 11, 2024, at the Somerset Apartments in the 7800 block of River Road, which is near North Keystone Avenue and East 79th Street. Officers arrived at the complex to check on a resident.Police spent 10 minutes negotiating with Brown before they forced their way into the apartment. After officers breached the door, Brown fired multiple shots at two of them.
