Saturday starts off fairly quiet, but don’t let the sunshine fool you, it’s going to be another muggy day across the area. We’ll see a mix of clouds and sunshine through the morning, with temperatures quickly warming into the 80s. By the afternoon, we’ll have enough heat and moist ure around to spark scattered showers and thunderstorms. Not everyone will see rain, but if a storm develops near you, it could produce a quick downpour, gusty winds and plenty of lightning. Highs will top out in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees, and it will feel warmer with the humidity. The good news is that Sunday brings a noticeable change. A northerly wind will begin pulling in drier air, so that sticky feeling we’ve had lately finally starts to ease. Temperatures will still reach the upper 80s to around 90, but with the humidity coming down, it won’t feel nearly as oppressive. Even better, we’re looking at a much quieter day with mostly dry conditions. It should be a great day to get outside without constantly watching the radar. Then Monday looks even better. We’ll have plenty of sunshine, comfortable humidity and temperatures staying in the upper 80s. It’s the kind of late-August day that actually feels pretty nice for a change. If you have outdoor plans, Monday is looking like one of the best days of the stretch. ENJOY!! ...read more read less
