Drag queen extraordinaire D'Arcy Drollinger’s “Champagne” character is back with another comical farce at Oasis, centered around everything that could go wrong and the hilarity that ensues, and while this weekend is sold out, there are still tickets available for future dates. D’Arcy Drolli nger’s Champagne Horowitz Jones Dickerson White is back at Oasis for the first time in 10 years, and this time the beloved drag character has landed in the middle of a disaster movie. After a wounded secret agent hands her a mysterious attaché case before dying in her arms, Champagne finds herself on the run and undercover. The show is billed as a sexploitation and disaster-movie send-up, with Champagne using her wisecracks and go-go moves to fight her way toward revenge.Drollinger returns as Champagne White alongside much of the original cast: Matthew Martin, Nancy French, Steven LeMay, James Arthur M, and Michael Phillis. Disastrous! is performed in the main room at Oasis with doors open at 6 pm and performances at 7 pm, and the venue is 21+ for all events. The show has tickets available for a performance on Monday, August 24, and seats are also available for the next three consecutive weekends, Friday to Sunday. As of last month, Oasis is back open after a half-year hiatus, following a significant charitable grant that allowed the Oasis non-profit, Oasis Arts, to purchase the building and start afresh with a new board of directors in charge. Previously, the club had been set to close at the end of last year.
