6 PM WEATHER 8-21-26 INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Some rain thunder is possible tonight Saturday with a passing cold front.  Cooler and less humid air returns Sunday through Tuesday.  The pattern going forward doesn’t look as active as the last 2 weeks (thankfully!). Here are some new August r ainfall records: FRIDAY NIGHT: A batch of rain storms is expected drift in from the northwest. Severe weather is not expected, but some scattered downpours thunder are possible. Lows will be in the 60s.  SATURDAY: Partly cloudy with a 20% chance of pop-up showers storms, mainly across eastern Indiana.  A few isolated gusty storms with hail could also occur in the far east, but odds of that still appear low. Look for highs in the upper 70s to around 80.  Northwesterly winds may be a bit breezy in the afternoon and  humidity levels will drop by the evening.  Things look pretty good for the State Fair, Indians baseball, and Indy Eleven soccer.   SATURDAY NIGHT: Fair skies with cooler lows in the low 60s and 50s. SUNDAY: Cooler and less humid with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the 70s.  A few stray afternoon pop-up showers can’t be totally ruled out.  Lows in the 50s Sunday night.  MONDAY-TUESDAY: Partly cloudy with highs mainly in the mid to upper 70s. Overnight lows in the 50s. WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY: Temperatures warm into the low to mid 80s out ahead of another cold front.  Scattered rain storms are possible as the system sweeps on through.   FRIDAY:  Partly cloudy with seasonably highs in the low 80s.  Week #2 of high school football look pretty good right now.   ...read more read less
