FRIDAY LIVE MUSIC Bupp! // TreefoldYou never quite know what you’re going to get from local experimental band Bupp!, but that’s part of the fun. They tried their first-ever puppet show at Baba Yaga last month and popped up at the Seattle Art Museum a few weeks ago for a performance combining original music and interactive games. This Friday, Bupp! plans to set the poems and short stories of local writer Auzin Ahmadi to music at bean-to-bar chocolate shop and venue Cocoa Legato. Treefold opens the show with a set of chordless jazz, which means the trio doesn’t include any standard harmony instruments but instead explores textures and rhythms on sax, bass, and drums.
