Lincoln Police Cruiser (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Aug. 21)–As of Friday morning, Lincoln Police confirmed to KFOR News the 55-year-old man critically injured in the Wednesday night crash involving his bike and a car at 20th and “A”, remains in critical but stable condition on life-su pport at a Lincoln hospital. Police say the man underwent surgery for brain bleed and the 26-year-old driver of the car has been cited for driving without a valid driver’s license. The accident report says the woman driving the car was westbound on “A” Street, approaching 20th Street with a green light at the crosswalk signal, when the bike pulled out in front of the 26-year-old driver and she was unable to avoid a collision and hit the bike. The report shows the driver thought she was going 30 to 35 mph at the time. One witness said the man’s bike was traveling at a high-rate of speed heading south on 20th Street with no lights on and didn’t stop at the stop sign before turning westbound onto “A” Street and collided with the car. ...read more read less
