(Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Aug. 20)–Good Government Lincoln collected a second round of signatures for three petitions they turned in on Wednesday, in hopes of changing Lincoln’s city elections. They turned in more than 9,000 signatures for e ach of three proposed city charter amendments introduced by former Lincoln state senator Tony Fulton. The petitions aim to change the dates of city elections, let certain residents outside city limits vote in municipal elections and place term limits on Lincoln City Council members during the Nov. 3 election. The second round of signatures comes after the first round had a lot of fraudulent signatures, which are being investigated by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and have resulted in six arrests. ...read more read less
