BATON ROUGE - Police arrested a man for kidnapping, carjacking, and battery after he shoved a woman to the ground and kept her inside a vehicle at gunpoint, the Baton Rouge Police Department said.Arrest documents say that Elijah Petties, 37, got into an altercation on Monday where he took a woman's gun without her permission before shoving her to the ground.The victim said she got in her vehicle on the driver's side to leave when Petties walked to the vehicle, pointed a gun in her face and told her to move to the passenger side. Petties began driving the vehicle and refused to stop.Officials said that Petties resisted arrest by pulling away when officers attempted to detain him. He was booked for domestic abuse - battery, aggravated kidnapping, carjacking, aggravated assault, simple criminal damage to property and resisting an officer.Permalink| Comments ...read more read less
