thouse resident Clark Gable, is a stunning 82-seat love letter to Los Angeles’ multicultural palate and rich cinematic history.
Rather than leaning into stuffy, traditional hotel dining, the vibe here is like a lively, eclectic dinner party. The dining room is lit by low pendant lighting, lush greenery and warm wood tabletops, all anchored by a crackling live-fire hearth adorned with dried herbs, ceramics and found objects.

In the kitchen, Culinary Director Chris Flint (formerly of Maude and Eleven Madison Park) and Chef de Cuisine Will Kelly have crafted a menu that marries high technique with craveable comfort. Snacks like tempura-fried maitake mushrooms with yuzu aioli and pizza-crust breadsticks served with a decadent Époisses puree are an ingenious intro to the menu. The wood-fired pizza program alone is a massive draw—particularly the 6th Wilshire, layered with bulgogi, red sauce and kimchi before the mozzarella is dramatically torched tableside.

For larger plates, the hearth does the heavy lifting, delivering dishes like a dry-aged cheeseburger on a housemade bun and a show-stopping whole grilled branzino served bossam-style with lettuce cups, herbs and salsa macha.

The beverage program, helmed by Chad Austin, matches the kitchen’s ambition. His cocktail menu is split into three distinct moods: Spirited, Whimsical and Bright. Standouts include Dirty Work, a clever dirty martini built on koji-washed vodka and aquavit and Shoots Ladders, a dazzling, fully clarified elote-inspired mezcal and Oaxacan rum creation poured over a single massive block of ice.

To finish, Pastry Chef Elenor Schlegel’s banoffee tart with passion fruit-banana caramel and cardamom ice cream is a mandatory conclusion.
Gable is located at 7000 Hollywood Blvd, open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner. Follow along @gablelosangeles as this new spot writes the Roosevelt’s next great Hollywood script.
