Five firefighters and 14 civilians were taken to hospitals after a dramatic collision involving an MTA bus and an FDNY fire truck in the Bronx on Tuesday, officials say. Emergency personnel got a call around 12:30 p.m. about the accident near Southern Boulevard and Barretto Street. Photos from th e scene showed the front bus windshield smashed opposite the driver’s side. People were also seen being removed on stretchers.
