Taylor Swift’s stunning engagement ring just got a new neighbor. Six weeks ago, the “Opalite” singer and Travis Kelce said “I do” in an epic wedding celebration at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The newlyweds have managed to lay low for the most part over the last few wee ks, but they were both spotted sporting their wedding bands at separate events over the last few days. Per People, Swift attended the wedding of recording engineers Oli Jacobs and Laura Sisk in the U.K. over the weekend. At the event, photographers caught a photo of the swinger’s gold wedding band, which paired perfectly with her engagement ring. Kelce, who is already back to work preparing for the upcoming NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs, was seen rocking his own gold wedding band at his team’s first preseason game. During an Aug. 12 press conference at the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp practice, Kelce broke his silence on his wedding, saying he had a “fun offseason.” “The wedding was the best night of my life, and I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us,” he said. According to Melanie Fitzpatrick, co-founder of LeMel, a Houston-based fine jewelry brand, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end chose a “classic, solid gold yellow band.” Based on the gold’s warmth and rich tone, Fitzpatrick thinks the band is made of 18K gold. It appears to be 8 mm wide, she says. “Travis is almost always wearing gold jewelry and gold watches, so a gold band feels very on-brand for him,” she says. Like Kelce’s, Swift’s wedding ring is made of yellow gold, but with more embellishments. Looking at a variety of photos of Swift’s ring, Fitzpatrick noticed that the front of the wedding band has round diamonds, while the back is made of plain gold. Fitzpatrick believes the wedding band was custom made to fit her engagement ring, designed by Kindred Lubeck. “This is probably my favorite detail. Her band was clearly designed specifically around her engagement ring. The fact that the band sits completely flush with her engagement ring is such a thoughtful detail. It really lets the two rings come together as one cohesive piece and accentuates the engagement ring without taking anything away from it,” Fitzpatrick says. Swift’s engagement ring has a old mine cushion cut diamond center stone. The band is hand-carved by Lubeck, a jeweler who was at Swift and Kelce’s wedding.
