East Hartford Little League has been selected as an official Nike RBI “reviving baseball in inner cities” program. The program is designed to provide greater access to the game while promoting character development, teamwork, leadership, and academic success through sports. As an official Nike RBI organization, East Hartford Little League will continue its commitment to making baseball and softball accessible to every child in the community, regardless of financial circumstances. “This designation is an exciting step for our league and our community,” said Jenilee Tedesco, President of East Hartford Little League. “Being recognized as a Nike RBI program strengthens our mission of providing every child with the opportunity to learn and grow through baseball and softball. We’re honored to partner with Nike RBI in expanding access to the game and skill-development opportunities for our players, coaches, volunteers, and Board Members.” Through the Nike RBI program, East Hartford Little League will continue to offer affordable programming, scholarship opportunities, player development, and a welcoming environment where every athlete has the chance to succeed both on and off the field. Additionally, East Hartford Little League will have access to baseball and softball development programs, coach volunteer workshops, the ability for players to apply for Nike RBI college scholarships, advanced skills clinics, Nike-branded uniforms starting next Spring. Registration for Fall Little League season closes Sunday.
