Ice cream fans get ready – Reading Terminal Market’s Ice Cream Festival returns to Philadelphia for another year. The annual festival on 12th and Filbert returns for another year on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. This festival is free-to-attend and pay-as-you-go, offering frozen treats from vendors like Bassetts Ice Cream. Inside the market will be ice cream-themed treats Philly favorites, and ice cream specials. There will be additional entertainment and activities – like balloon twisting face paint, arts and crafts, and a live DJ. On Filbert Street, a 3-part ice cream contest will take place. The first contest will begin at 12:30 p.m., the second contest will begin at 1:45 p.m., and the third will begin at 3 p.m. Reading Terminal’s mascot Philbert will also make an appearance.
