4 PM WEATHER 8-13-26 INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Heavy rain, flooding, and additional severe weather remain a concern for the end of the week and the start of the weekend.  Rivers will remain elevated across central Indiana over the coming days as water flows south towards the Ohio River THURSDA Y NIGHT: A complex of storms may affect parts of the area during the late afternoon and early evening. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 8pm. Main impacts will be gusty winds, heavy rain and lightning. Another complex of rain and storms is expected overnight. Training of heavy rain producing thunderstorms could produce 1-3″ of rain with isolated higher amounts. This would lead to more flooding concerns. A Flood Watch is in effect. Lows will be in the 60s to lower 70s. FRIDAY: Areas of rain storms are likely during the morning hours with a trend towards less active conditions during the afternoon.  Some early day rain storms could be heavy and aggravate the ongoing flooding. Temperatures are expected to warm well into the 80s during the afternoon with higher heat indices.   FRIDAY NIGHT – SATURDAY AM: Another round of rain storms is likely in the region. Some of this may produce more heavy rain and strong storm activity.  Lows will be around 70 Friday night. SATURDAY PM: Things look less active overall, but some rain storms could linger in spots.  Highs will be around 90 with heat indices possibly reaching into the low 100s.   SUNDAY: It’ll be quite steamy with highs around 90 and heat indices in the low 100s.  Some rain storms are possible yet again.  NEXT WEEK: The chance of rain storms continues on Monday, but we may luck out and get a dry and comfy day on Tuesday. More disturbances could bring the chance of rain storms back by Wednesday and Thursday.   ...read more read less
