A wildfire popped up west of Lake Tahoe Wednesday, according to Cal Fire. Crews are battling the Talbot Fire, that’s now grown to 200 acres and it’s creating huge plumes of smoke. It started around 5 p.m. near the French Meadows Reservoir, south of I-80, and west of the Lake in a remote ar ea.
