Officials with the Philadelphia Police Department are providing more information about the investigation surrounding a “mystery house” in the Olney neighborhood. A multi-agency investigation was launched after a search warrant was issued for a home on the 400 block of West Chew Avenue that l ed to the discovery of at least one firearm, ammunition, narcotics and several chemicals, officials had previously said. This was came about after a park ranger looked into a disturbance between a man, identified as 44-year-old Eugene Horsch, and a woman who were sitting inside a parked car on the 600 block of Market Street near Independence Mall on June 19, 2026. Officials said the park ranger found credentials on Horsch that showed to be a federal law enforcement officer and a DEA officer. Those credentials were later determined to be false. Horsch was then detained, police said. A grand jury later indicted him on charges in connection to the fake credentials. ...read more read less
