Officials are working to uncover the identity of a person whose body was found in the woods of South Jersey in July, according to the Egg Harbor Township Police Department. A township resident reported finding part of a body near the intersection of Tilton and Delilah roads in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 30, police said. A canine unit specializing in finding cadavers for the New Jersey State Police was called in and found the rest of the person’s body close by, officials said. The Atlantic County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to figure out the person’s identity and how they died.
