A 69-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday morning after, police said, he barricaded himself inside a home in the Cobbs Creek section of West Philadelphia after he allegedly shot a man. According to police, the situation unfolded at about 1:10 a.m., when first responders encountered a 53-year-old man who had been shot in the ankle while inside a home along the 5500 block of Addison Street. At that time, the man was taken to a nearby hospital where, officials said, he was listed in stable condition. Police located the suspected gunman at that home, however, officials said, the man barricaded himself inside the property for several hours. By about 4:25 a.m., officials said, police had taken the man into custody and the barricade situation ended.
