Firefighters respond to fire in the Dole Columbia at the Port of Wilmington

Firefighters were working on Monday after, officials said, a two-alarm fire broke out on the 672-foot Dole Columbia at the Port of Wilmington.
Officials said, at about 12:12 p.m. on Monday that crews responded to the Port of Wilmington after flames broke out in the ship’s engine room.

C10’s SkyForce10 captured footage of crews working to extinguish flames as fire trucks sat adjacent to the ship at the port.
Fire officials did not immediately report any injuries in this incident.
And, officials said, the ship’s CO2 system was discharged during the fire.
