Letter: Kailua landfill bad for residents, economy

Kailua doesn’t need another landfill again. My wife and I have a combined 142 years of living in Kailua. They used to dump waste in Kawainui Marsh and burn it. They then went up the hill for many years. Now we have a transfer station. Every time we have Kona winds, we smell it.
