Highs reach around 90 degrees in Indianapolis, and heat index values will clim b noticeably higher, especially south of the city where readings could approach 100. A few isolated showers or thunderstorms may develop later in the afternoon, mainly near and north of I-70, but coverage should remain limited. Most of Sunday stays dry.  TONIGHT A few isolated showers or thunderstorms may linger into the evening, mainly before about 1 a.m. Otherwise, expect partly cloudy, warm and muggy conditions with lows in the low 70s. Storms developing farther northwest may try to work toward central Indiana overnight, but confidence remains low on how far south they make it.  TOMORROW Another hot and humid day is expected with highs near 90. Sunshine dominates much of the day, but a few showers or thunderstorms may pop up after about 2 p.m. Southwest winds increase to around 10 mph with occasional gusts near 20 mph. Heat index values may again approach 100 in parts of central Indiana, and Monday is one of the days when heat-related impacts could become more noticeable.  TOMORROW NIGHT Storm chances increase more substantially during the evening and overnight. Showers become likely after about 8 p.m., with thunderstorms possible as several disturbances move through the humid atmosphere. Lows only fall into the lower 70s. Some storms could bring heavy downpours, and localized flooding becomes a concern where storms repeatedly track over the same areas.  TUESDAY Tuesday looks more unsettled, with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible through much of the day. Highs reach the upper 80s, and humidity stays elevated. It probably will not rain continuously, but multiple rounds are possible. Stronger storms could produce damaging wind gusts and torrential rainfall, with the severe-weather threat expected to remain somewhat isolated rather than widespread.  TUESDAY NIGHT Showers and thunderstorms remain likely, with rain chances around 70 percent. Lows fall to around 71 degrees. Heavy rainfall remains possible in stronger storms, and this could be one of the wetter periods of the early week if storms repeatedly move across the same locations.  WEDNESDAY The active pattern continues with another chance for showers and thunderstorms. Storm coverage may increase during the afternoon, with highs near 86 degrees. Humidity remains high, and locally heavy rain or an isolated damaging wind gust will still be possible.  7 DAY FORECAST Sunday provides the most dependable dry weather of the next few days, although it will be hot and humid with only an isolated storm chance. Heat remains a concern Monday before shower and thunderstorm chances increase Monday night and stay elevated Tuesday through Wednesday. The combination of deep moisture and periodic stronger storms will keep both localized flooding and isolated damaging winds in play through midweek.
