On Saturday at 2:43 a.m. an updated flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 3:15 a.m. for Essex County."At 2:43 a.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen in addition to th e 1.5 to 3 inches that fell yesterday evening. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.25 inches are possible in the warned area.
