Officials have identified the police officer who shot and killed a man inside a home in Cumberland County on Thursday. Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office Sergeant John Borelli shot Shaun Murphy, 47, while responding to a domestic incident at a home on the 300 block of Hazel Boulevard in Mil lville on Aug. 6, according to the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office. Officers had initially been called to the Millville home in the morning in response to a domestic incident, officials said. While interacting with Murphy inside the house, Sgt. Borelli shot him with his department-issued weapon, officials reported. Murphy died from his injuries, according to the AG’s Office. Authorities said they did recover a handgun from the scene.
