An investigation is underway after a man was shot to death on Friday evening, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. Officers were called to the 4300 block of North 7th Street in the Hunting Park section of North Philadelphia around 6:25 p.m., police said. When officers got to the scene, they said they found a man who had been shot one time in the chest. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries, according to police. No arrests have been made in connection to this shooting and officials have not revealed what led up to it. The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating.
