A lane closure previously scheduled for this weekend on the westbound Carquinez Bridge has been rescheduled for the following weekend, according to Caltrans. The one-lane closure on Interstate 80 will take place Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. through Aug. 15 at 7 p.m. Caltrans said in a statement that the closure is due to construction for the agency’s ongoing bridge deck rehabilitation project. A full closure of the westbound Carquinez Bridge is planned for Aug. 21-24. Caltrans is hosting a public meeting to discuss construction plans on Monday at 6 p.m. at the Norman C. King South Vallejo Community Center at 545 Magazine St. in Vallejo. The pedestrian and bike path will remain open during the lane closure.
