RecycleForce gets $5.1 million federal grant INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A $5.1 million federal grant will help an Indianapolis nonprofit provide job training to more than 600 people leaving prison, leaders announced Wednesday. Gov. Mike Braun said Keys2Work will manage the money for its partners , RecycleForce and 2nd Chance Indiana. The funds provide job training and support for adults being released from prison. RecycleForce handles electronics recycling and offers help with housing, mental health, substance abuse and money management. The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Labor’s RESTART program, which helps train former inmates for skilled trades. Janette Keesling, founder and president of RecycleForce, said the money will help 18- to 24-year-olds transitioning out of prison. “Without this money, how could we serve? We’ve got several people who would be coming home with no opportunities,” Keesling said. “This is an opportunity for them to come directly referred to us.
