Driver arrested after crash at 96th, Allisonville roundabout kills Frankfort woman

FISHERS, Ind. (WRTV) A crash killed an SUV driver late Tuesday night at the roundabout at 96th Street and Allisonville Road on the border of Fishers and Indianapolis, the Fishers Police Department said in a news release issued
Wednesday afternoon.The Hamilton County Coroner's Office identified the SUV driver as Susann Hayden-Tindall, 56, of Frankfort.When officers and medics arrived after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, they found a person dead inside a white Hyundai Palisade.The driver of a black Ford F-250, identified as Cory Amick, remained at the scene and refused medical transport.Police arrested Amick on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated causing death, a mid-level felony.A Fishers Police Department spokesperson declined to share where Amick is from or give his age because the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office has not yet decided whether to file formal charges. Amick was not jailed.Investigators said Amick refused field sobriety tests. Police then obtained and served a search warrant to draw his blood for testing.During the investigation, officers reviewed video from a nearby camera that reads license plates. The footage shows the F-250 speeding through the roundabout and hitting the Palisade. Police said the video confirms initial findings from the departments crash-reconstruction team regarding what caused the wreck.Anyone with relevant information about the crash was asked to email the Fishers Police Department at [email protected].
