Drivers who use the Collings Avenue Bridge to travel between Gloucester City and Camden City will need to use alternate routes for the next several months. Repairs on the bridge began Tuesday, Aug. 4, closing the bridge to traffic traveling over Newton Creek in Camden County. According to Camd en County officials, the repairs are part of a $2.5 million project which will replace the bridge’s concrete deck, sidewalks, and parapet. Crews will also refurbish the steel bearings and support beams. County officials expect the bridge to be closed for approximately three months, reopening in November 2026.
