The New Castle County Police Department announced that they are investigating a shooting a shopping center in Newark on Monday. The shooting happened in the afternoon of Aug. 3 at the Taylortown Shopping Center along Songsmith Drive in Newark, officials explained. Residents are being urged t o avoid the area as detectives work on the investigation. SkyForce10 was over the scene where yellow police tape was blocking off the area around 8 p.m. with several police SUVs parked nearby. Officials were seen outside of a restaurant called Tastee D’s.
