LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WISH) — The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is investigating after the body of a juvenile was found in a Cass County park swimming lake. According to a press release, Indiana Conservation Officers Central Dispatch received a report regarding a missing swimmer in t he France Park area. An initial investigation found three individuals were swimming in an area where they could not touch the bottom and began struggling to stay afloat. The DNR said bystanders helped two of individuals back to shallower water, but the third did not resurface. A recreational diver found the juvenile, unresponsive in the water a short time later. Lifesaving measures were unsuccessful and the person was taken to Logansport Memorial Hospital where they died. The release said the cause of death is pending autopsy results and that the incident is still under investigation.
