Three people were shot in Norristown on Saturday, officials from Montgomery County Dispatch confirmed to NBC10. The shooting occurred in the area of Chestnut Street and Polk Alley just before 6 p.m. The grandmother of two of the victims, Jean Lyons, told NBC10’s Katy Zachry that her teenage granddaughter and a grandson in his 20s were among the three taken to the hospital. Lyons was unable to identify the third person taken to the hospital, and seemed still in shock after the incident. “That officer sent me to the police station, they sent me back, and this is where I’m at,” she said.  Lyons said she hasn’t learned yet from her daughter what may have prompted the shooting, including whether it was a drive-by or the shooter ran up to the group on foot. “They’re good kids. we don’t have no problems out of them,” she said of her two grandchildren who were shot. No arrests or motives have been announced. This is a developing story; check back for more details. ...read more read less
