2 men charged with attacking officers after fight at Jersey Shore, officials say

Two Pennsylvania men were arrested after a fight at a Jersey Shore business led to them assaulting police officers, according to the Sea Isle City Police Department.
This all unfolded on July 25 around 11:17 p.m. at a business on the 6400 block of Landis Avenue, police said.
When officers go
t to the scene, they learned there was a fight between 31-year-old Patrick McStravog and other patrons inside the business.
McStravog suffered minor injuries during the fight so first responders took him into an ambulance to treat him, police said.
As officials took McStravog to the ambulance, a family member who is identified as 60-year-old Robert McMonagle, became aggressive and tried to push an officer out of his way to get access to the group involved in the fight, according to police.
McMonagle is accused of pushing the officer in the chest while trying to get by him, police reported.
Officials said they tried to place McMonagle under arrest but he resisted before he was taken into custody.
During this struggle, McStravog left the ambulance and attacked one of the officers placing McMonagle under arrested, according to officials.
McStravog was charged with aggravated assault, obstruction, resisting arrest and simple assault.
McMonagle was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Both men were taken to the Cape May County Correctional Facility.
