Here’s a roundup of happenings for Thursday, July 30, to Wednesday, Aug. 6.  *Starred events are free to attend, al though they may include ticketed components or a suggested donation. Concert at West Salem Park *Thursday, July 30: A local rockabilly band will headline a free concert at West Salem Park, closing out a summer concert series led by the West Salem Lions Club. Billy The Rockets will take the stage at 6:30 p.m. The club will have concessions for purchase to help support the annual event, which is now in its 41st year. People can also bring their own picnic dinner to enjoy on blankets or from lawn chairs. The concert runs two hours. The park is at 265 Rosemont Ave. N.W. Music festival at Riverfront Saturday, Aug. 1: Riverfront Park will fill with hip-hop, rock and ska sounds for the On High Oregon music festival. The event includes artists and bands from across the country, such as Massachusetts rock band The Elovaters and Atlanta rapper Big Boi. The festival runs from 3-10:30 p.m. It is open to all ages. Tickets start at around $56. The park is at 200 Water St. N.E. Rooftop yoga *Saturday, Aug. 1: Yogis of all levels can enjoy sweeping views of the city skyline during a class held on the roof of the downtown YMCA. The 60-minute class, hosted by Yoga + Beer, will be from 10-11 a.m. It is free to attend, but a $5-10 donation per person is recommended. Participants can register in advance or just show up. The gym is at 685 Court St. N.E.  Outdoor art market *Sunday, Aug. 2: The Grand Theatre parking lot will flood with local art, treats and music for The People’s Creative Market. The market is held on the first Sunday of each month from 2-7 p.m. Prospective vendors, musicians, booths or speakers can apply online to join the market. It is free and open to the public. The theater is at 187 High St. N.E. Theatre 33 festival  *Tuesday, Aug. 4: Theatre 33’s summer festival is returning for its 13th season, bringing six original plays to the Salem stage over two weeks. There will be nine performances in three theaters each week, with the main stage at Willamette University’s M. Lee Pelton Theatre. The festival includes three full play productions and three staged readings, all written by playwrights from the Pacific Northwest and some neighboring states. It opens Aug. 4 with “Lights in the Sky,” a political satire that centers on an investigation into UFO sightings. Admission is pay-what-you-can, with a recommended $20 for main stage shows and $15 for staged readings.
