Joyce Cossin, 78, peacefully left this earth July 14, 2026.
Joyce was born in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 1968 she married Bill Cossin and became mom to Robin. They lived both in Florida and North Carolina and enjoyed a wonderful life until Bill passed away in 2006. In January 1972, Joyce wa
s hired by National Airlines as a “stewardess”, going to Pan Am and then to Delta, being based in Miami, Atlanta and SLC, and returning in 2014. After retirement, she got a job at the Heber Airport, enjoying 10 years there. At the age of 50, while still flying, Joyce received her degree in psychology graduating top of her class. Joyce was very involved in her community. She volunteered at the National Ability Center, Peace House, Newcomers, Sundance, she was a docent at the Olympic Park and she led worship services at Spring Gardens Assisted Living. She enjoyed skiing, going to concerts, traveling and cooking. She always had a pet to love, most recently her beloved cat Cowgirl.
Joyce is survived by her sister Gail, daughter Robin, son-in-law Bob, grandson Nick, granddaughter Natalie and nephews Allen and Todd.
A memorial service will be held at the Park City Methodist Church August 1, 2026 at 10AM. The family requests donations be made in Joyce’s honor to that church.
Joyce was a very special person. Her passion for life, kindness and generosity will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
