NBC10 Responds asked Honda what tools are available to help owners better protect their vehicles. “Vehicle theft is a complex issue affecting many automakers and is not unique to Honda. Our vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art security features designed to deter theft and protect our customers,” the company said in a statement. Honda said some owners may be able to add anti-theft features through HondaLink, depending on their vehicle’s model and year. Available features may include a stolen vehicle locator with immobilization, which can help authorities track and recover a stolen vehicle. Owners may also receive security alerts if their vehicle’s alarm is triggered. Honda says the service includes a three-month trial. After that, it costs $10 a month or $110 a year.
