(Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR July 28)–Nebraska Task Force One returned home Tuesday afternoon, after a 12-day deployment to south Texas ahead of anticipated flooding in the Nueces River Basin. LFR officials say the task force went door-to-door in the region, delivering residents with flood risk information and evacuation plans, and identifying those who would need extra assistance getting to safety in the event of flooding. Task Force teams also assisted in monitoring water levels and scouting infrastructure that could be affected by flooding.
