A 27-year-old man died after his SUV crashed on Bay Road in Dover on Sunday, July 26, according to Delaware State Police. On Tuesday, July 28, police identified the driver to be Aubrie Barnes of Dover, Delaware. Barnes was driving a Lexus GX northbound on Bay Road after entering from Exit 93 a round 3:10 p.m. The SUV was traveling at a high speed and recklessly changing lanes, officials said. The Lexus left the west side of the roadway, hir the center median and rolled onto its side, police reported. Barnes was pronounced dead at the scene. Bay Road was closed for approximately four hours while the scene was investigated and cleared. The investigation is ongoing and is being investigated by the Delaware State Police Troop 3 Collision Reconstruction Unit. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Master Cpl. W.
