HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. An 88-year-old Frankton woman and a dog are dead following a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Hamilton County.According to Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a serious crash at the intersection of State Road 37 and 266th Street near Atlanta, Indiana around 10 a.m.According to preliminary information, a Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling east on 266th Street stopped at the stop sign at SR 37.As the Jeep began turning south onto SR 37, a southbound Chevy Impala struck the Jeep on its driver's side.The Jeep appeared to have failed to yield the right-of-way, police said.The drivers of both vehicles sustained injuries and were transported to area hospitals.The passenger of the Chevy, identified as 88-year-old Mary West of Frankton, was also transported but later died from her injuries. A dog traveling in the Chevy was also killed in the crash.The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Crash Investigations Team is investigating the incident.
