INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after four overnight shootings injured five people. At around 11:30 Saturday night in the 40 block of Addison Avenue, officers found a victim with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound or wounds. Po lice said the victim was stable, awake and breathing. They have not released any further information on that incident at this time. IMPD North District officers said a 15-year-old girl was injured in a shooting on the 1700 block of Delaware Street at a little after 11:40 Saturday night. Her condition was initially not known when she was transported to an area hospital. Sunday afternoon, IMPD reported she was in stable condition, awake and breathing. Just before 1:30 Sunday morning, two victims arrived at IU Methodist Hospital with gunshot wounds. Police said the incident happened in the 3400 block of Central Avenue. Sunday afternoon, IMPD reported the victims were an adult male and adult female who were both stable, awake and breathing. The female sustained what police believe to be a graze wound. At 5:10 Sunday morning, at the same hospital. officers said a female victim walked in with injuries believed to be from gunfire. She is thought to have been shot in the 20 block of Parkview Avenue. She was reported to be in stable condition. Sunday morning, IMPD identified her as a 17-year-old female. Police are investigating the shootings. No arrests have been announced.
