As a grateful Hawaiian Airlines retiree, Alaska Airlines’ replacement of 717s with 737-800s again raises the question of service to Molokai and Lanai. The 737-800s — and the 717s — for full loads need runway extensions. The “uncles” can help: Larry for Lanai and Sam for Molokai.
