An 86-year-old Parker County man was the victim of a violent home invasion after a suspect allegedly posed as a police officer to gain entry into his home, according to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office. The crime happened on July 16 when Parker County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a 91 1 call from an 86-year-old man stating someone just broke into his home and robbed him. The victim told deputies someone was banging on his back door and claimed to be a police officer. When he opened the door, the suspect held a strobing flashlight in the victim’s face and then forced entry into the residence. According to the victim, the invader sounded like a female’s voice yelling at him, demanding money, or he was going to jail. The sheriff’s office said the intruder demanded money before repeatedly hitting the man in both arms and the chest before placing him in a chokehold. The victim later told investigators he was able to recognize the female suspect after getting a clear view of her during the commotion of the assault, which led deputies to identify her as Jacqueline Smith Johnson and arrest her on July 20, four days after the alleged attack According to police, the victim knew the suspect, but their connection is still unknown. Based on victim statements and evidence, authorities determined Johnson physically assaulted the victim, took $2,000.00 in cash from him, and then fled the residence. Johnson was booked into the Parker County Jail and has been charged with aggravated robbery of an elderly person, a first-degree felony.
