A 73-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash Friday afternoon in Seaford, Delaware, according to Delaware State Police. Officials said at about 2:10 p.m., the man was riding his bicycle eastbound along the south edge of Woodpecker Road, west of Butler Branch Road. At the same time, an unkn own vehicle was traveling eastbound on Woodpecker Road, approaching the bicyclist. For unknown reasons, the vehicle struck the bicyclist and drove away from the scene. The bicyclist, a Seaford resident, died at the scene, troopers said. The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this crash. Investigators believe the suspect vehicle may have damage to the passenger side, possibly near the turn signal housing. No additional description of the vehicle is available.
