Police believe the same suspects robbed an Oak Cliff convenience store three times in less than three weeks. Investigators say employees are now fearful and are asking for the public’s help. The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying suspects accused of robbing a n Oak Cliff convenience store three times in less than three weeks. Police said the convenience store in the 2200 block of Cedar Crest Boulevard was robbed June 20, June 26 and July 9. DPD Robbery Detective Jose Jimenez said employees are living in fear after the repeated robberies. “They’re terrified; they even hired security, but even the security guard was robbed for her firearm in this last incident,” Jimenez said. “The guy was robbed at gunpoint, Jimenez explained the last incident was particularly traumatic, “So everyone there is scared; they’re terrified by what’s going on at the store.” Police said the first robbery involved a single suspect with a gun. The other two robberies involved two people each entering the store with a gun. Police said the suspects arrive around closing time, force employees to reopen the store at gunpoint and steal money from the register. Jimenez said police believe the same suspects are responsible for each of the robberies, and are hopeful surveillance video will help identify them. Members of a nearby church told NBC 5 they have increased security and are taking extra precautions following the robberies. “They need to come talk to us, and find other resources that way,” said Larry Mosby. Mosby said he believes someone in the neighborhood will recognize the suspects. “I’m pretty sure people know who they are if they live in this area,” said Mosby. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jose Jimenez at 972-922-8659.
