Philadelphia Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley gave his first public comments Tuesday since burglars targeted his Pennsylvania home over the weekend. Barkley told NBC Sports Philadelphia’s John Clark that the home invasion disturbed his family’s peace, but everyone is OK. “I mean , obviously, when something like that happens you’re going to be shaken up. Your peace is going to be disturbed a little bit,” Barkley said at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. Barkley and some family members, including his two youngest children, were inside the home when the incident occurred at around 5 a.m. Saturday in the Malvern section of Tredyffrin Township. Police said one suspect did enter the home, but Barkley confirmed that no one was injured and that nothing was stolen. “Just a little more aware that I got to be a little sharper with my security. We just upped the security. That’s really it,” Barkley said. “Listen, everything that happened, that’s the best way. If it happened ten times, you know, my boy was there, my family was there, and no one ended up getting hurt and nothing was taken. You can’t really get a better situation.” The suspects had already fled when officers arrived at the scene, but authorities believe the car below may have been involved in the incident.
