Weekend road closures around US 75 in Richardson due to bridge installation work

The city of Richardson says parts of US 75, the service road, and the President George Bush Turnpike will be closed this weekend for work related to the DART Silver Line Bridge. They’re installing the northside arch on the bridge; the Silver Line connects DFW International Airport with Plano throu
gh Addison.
Work starts Thursday at 9 p.m. and ends Monday, July 27 at 5 a.m.
When complete, the bridge will feature two arches; the south side arch was installed last month. The city said each will be about 400 feet long and 80 feet above the roadway at the highest point; they will also feature white and blue accent lighting to help the bridge serve as a gateway and visual branding for the city for both rail passengers and drivers on US 75.
Planned closures and service impacts:
Thursday, July 23 from 9 p.m. – 4 a.m.
Full closure of the southbound US 75 frontage road
Rolling closures through US 75 / Renner Road intersection and the northbound frontage road
Arch segments will be positioned (no crane lifting)
Friday, July 24 from 9 p.m. – 6 a.m.
Full closure of northbound and southbound US 75 Main lanes
Full closure of PGBT eastbound and westbound direct-connect ramps to southbound US 75
Center arch segment will be lifted into place
Saturday, July 25 from 9 p.m. – 8 a.m.
Full closure of northbound US 75 main lanes
Left lane closure on the northbound US 75 frontage Road
Full closure of Exit 28B to the PGBT eastbound/westbound direct-connect ramps
East arch segment will be lifted into place
Sunday, July 26 from 8 p.m. – 5 a.m.
Full closure of the southbound US 75 frontage road and Exit 27 to Renner Road
West arch segment will be lifted into place
