Police are investigating a burglary at Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley’s home in Chester County. According to Tredyffrin Township police, Barkley and his family were not physically harmed during the incident, which happened just after 5 a.m. Saturday at their home in Malvern. Investigators are searching for a white SUV they believe the suspects may have been driving. Police said they believe more than one person was involved but are still working to determine exactly how many suspects took part. “We will look at all angles with this to see because, you know, we know obviously it’s been all over the news in the past few years about different professional athletes homes getting burglarized,” Capt. Tyler Moyer with Tredyffrin Township Police said. Police have not said what type of security Barkley has at his home. “We know there’s more than one. But we’re still trying to determine how many were involved,” Moyer said. Investigators are also working to determine whether the burglary is connected to other break-ins involving high-profile professional athletes. The NFL, NBA and FBI have previously warned professional athletes to install cameras and update surveillance systems following a number of high-profile burglaries in recent years. In 2024, thieves targeted Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce. The suspects got away with more than $2 million in jewelry, cash and memorabilia.
